Introduction to Osmani Uddayan Dhaka

Osmani Uddayan (Osmani Uddayan) is located on an area of ​​about 23.37 acres adjacent to the city building and secretariat in Gulistan, Dhaka . Osmani Udyan and Osmani Auditorium were built after the commander of the great liberation war of 1971, Lieutenant General Mohammad Ataul Gani Osmani. The main gate of the 3 entrances to Osmani Udyan is located on the opposite side of the South City Corporation Building. 2nd and 3rd entrances are located near Golap Shah Mosque and Osmani Auditorium.
On entering the Osmani Gardens, the directional map gives an idea of ​​the garden's lakes, walkways and other facilities. Like the 11 sectors of the Liberation War, Osmani Udyan has been divided into 11 sectors to keep the memory of the War of Independence alive. And the location of the sectors can be seen nicely on this map. A little further past the directional map, the Independence Monument can be seen.
Also, surrounded by green Osmani Gardens, there is the cannon of Emperor Aurangzeb's chief commander Mir Jumla, a collection of rare plants including domestic and foreign varieties of flowers, fruits and ornamentals. And covering an area of ​​about 5.34 acres, there are two lakes and two artificial sand islands.
Timings : Osmani Udyan is open to all visitors seven days a week. Osmani Udyan can be stayed from 5 am to 9 pm in summer and from 6 am to 8.00 pm in winter.

From anywhere in the capital Dhaka, you can reach Gulistan by car or bus, take a rickshaw or walk to Osmani Udyan, which is a short distance away.
